The Water Tower Berkhamsted

The iconic landmark of theWater Tower at the top of Berkhamsted on Shootersway has been a prominent feature of the town since the early1930's when it was built to provide water pressure to the foundling hospital and other newly built houses. In WW2 it became storage to many dozens of boxes of biscuits- to keep them dry! This was oneof the first paintings I undertook in my "new" poster art style.
