The Old Mill, Berkhamsted
This pub/restaurant sits on the site of one of Berkhamsted's two water mills mentioned in Domesday. The working mill closed in 1900 because the River Bulbourne could no longer provide sufficient water to drive the wheel. Now with smart refreshed interiors and a modern, sustainable menu, this historic canal-side pub environment is at the heart of Berkhamsted's community.
Please note this is an unusual sized painting. Gouache on a thin watercolour paper (different than usual). It was an experiment! (Hence low price)
I now offer the original artwork for sale direct from my studio in Tring, Herts. The originals are hand-painted painted using water-based Winsor & Newton professional gouache paint
Dimensions: 16.5" x 9" Signed and titled in pencil by me. Please note the image below has been digitally enhanced to make A3 image, and that cards and prints are: A5, A4, A3, sized respectively.
